I Miss You
I can't believe it's been a year since the passing of my dear friend Prince. He greatly influenced and effected me as an artist, and I miss him daily. I'll never forget the day our eyes first met. That was some kind of magic to say the least. We shared the same love for music, candy and cars, haha! At any rate, I've been in mourning for an entire year, but however he did put a new song in my heart and I can't wait to share it. Until we meet again one day.
Rest on Dearest Beautiful One....rest on.

No One Ever Really Knows!
Ahhh the life of a performer. Sometimes it's not all that one would think. For example, I'll borrow from actress/friend, Leah Remini here, because in my opinion she summed it up perfectly when I heard her recently say,
"As performers we don't always have work to show you, but that doesn't mean we're not working. So the fact that you continue to find me and support me means the world to me. I am honored and truly blessed to have you as a supporter. Thank you." -Leah Remini
Leah, 'Thank you, because truer words were never spoken my friend!'
This is exactly the way I feel and mostly the take away is this; I just want to say, 'Thank you!' Thank you for the continued support, for finding me and for following me. It truly warms my heart a million times over.
Today for me, will be a day at the office taking photos for some brands I'm working with. It's always a fun and creative process to participate in, and seeing the finished product is always a thrill! It's an accomplishment to stand back and just feel the pride rush.
I'm over the moon happy my new website is currently up and running, so why not have a look and let me know what you think. There will be more updates to come. I'll make it simple for you, here's the link - VictoriaVann.com
Cheers!

Cheers to You!
It's crazy to think that summer is almost over! I'm a person that's ruled by nature, ie, the sun, the moon, and the stars, so I'm a girl that's highly affected by the changing of the seasons. I always feel compelled to do something significant, and sure enough, as summer is beginning to wind down, I find myself here at 2:00 am, feeling the need to blog.
So, the victoria.com site I created is a work in progress, and will soon be available for visiting, and I'm still in the studio...so very frustrated at times, argh....working to bring you new music, but I am excited because I'm going to be helping to promote the next James Bond movie! Oooh....Yes indeed, in "Spectre James Bond 007", the opening segments of the movie are shot in Mexico and highlight a mock celebration of the Hispanic celebration, El Día de los muertos (The Day of the Dead). It is a beautiful celebration of honor and respect that is all encompassing, and celebrates the love of people, and life itself. I'm helping with the promotion in launching my very own brand araceliliqueur.com next month that correlates with the Hispanic celebration, and also the movie....I'm so PROUD! Estoy feliz y orgullosa amigos! Salud!
I'll attach a trailer for the movie here below to check out.
Love you all...besos, besitos e beijos!

New site
Brand New Site VictoriaVann.com
I'm launching a brand new website this month called "Victoria". You can access it from my current website. http://www.vickivann.com/
Just click on "extras" and you'll see "Victoria" in the drop down, or simply type in www.victoriavann.com into your browser. The website will be all about my life as an editor and TV host for BIN Magazine and In The Drink TV! It's all a part of my entrepreneurial lifestyle and the various fun hats I get to wear! Mostly, it's all a bunch of fun, from me dining on The Queen Mary docked at Long Beach Harbor to wine tasting in exclusive Napa Valley with some of my friends, to hanging out back stage at the prestigious Greek Theater in Griffith Park to interview legendary rock artists such as Sammy Hagar before he rocked the stage with his band Chicken Foot.
You'll see videos of me rocking what I do and you'll be able to access my social media outlets from there as well, you can leave comments, ideas, and or suggestions for me. It's all just another way to connect you with me, and all that I do. Come along with me and enjoy the ride! I'll see you all there!

Spring has sprung!
So...Yay! It's officially spring and I couldn't be happier! Longer days, more time, or so it seems to get stuff done, warmer weather, even though it's always warm in Southern California, more smiles on faces, and more blooms in the garden! For me, spring also means it's almost Easter....and I get to make my annual Meyer Lemon pound cake with fresh thyme, also from the garden. Well, maybe I will not make it this year, haha, because I usually end up eating the whole darn thing! That's not good since I have videos to make, and outfits to squeeze into, lol. Oh well, I think I'm going to focus on enjoying the season and not so much on squeezing into stuff, but wait! It's my job...oh well! It was a nice thought anyway while it lasted. The thought is still lingering in my mind however, making my mouth water! Yum!! Seriously, you'd have to be crazy not to indulge once in a while! How could you not!!?
Speaking of indulging...I've been indulging and immersing myself in my next project with a positive attitude, but the songs just aren't coming that easily to me. They have to be right with me...ugh! The key word being "right". It really is a tedious task at best. I've been at work now for two years on this project and just when I feel I've made progress, I feel like I'm starting all over. I just want to make a good record and a sufficient follow up to "Reckless Heart". It doesn't have to be the best record all around, it just has to be the best for ME! The songs have to speak to what I want to say, and in the way in which I want to say it, and that has nothing to do with my last record. The music as of lately is somewhat lacking, in my opinion, of several key elements that make me want to listen over and over, sing along in the shower, in the kitchen, or in the car, and eventually go out, or click, and buy! I can't wait forever, but sometimes next week seems like forever....but patience is a virtue, and this I know for sure!
I am looking to bring some qualified musician players together for some upcoming shows I have in the future, and that makes me very happy. I don't really care where they come from, whether it's here or Nashville, Vegas or Chicago! I just want them to jam with me and give me chills down my spine because they're just that good...because I strive to be just THAT GOOD! Being on stage is like being in my bedroom. It's one of my most favorite places to be on the planet. It's where I feel the most relaxed and at ease with the world, yet I can be extreme and sing as loud as I want, jump, or scream, and express the most authentic ME that I can be.
I can't wait to post those upcoming show dates for ya hopefully soon...and the new music project, well, that will happen when the time is right, and not a moment before. Thanks for waiting with me. We'll get there...I promise.
